Terms of Use

Updated August 14, 2026

These are the rules for using Quipo. In short: what you write stays yours, you are responsible for what you publish, and we may remove content that breaks the law or somebody else’s rights.

This is a translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version prevails if the two disagree.

Acceptance

By creating an account or using Quipo you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. The service is operated by [RAZÃO SOCIAL A DEFINIR] ([CNPJ A DEFINIR]).

If you disagree with any part of it, do not use the service.

Who may use it

You must be at least 13 and able to enter into these obligations. Where the law of your country sets a higher age or requires a guardian, that applies.

An account belongs to one person. You are answerable for what happens in it and should tell us if you suspect someone else has access.

What you publish stays yours

You keep every right in what you write. We claim no ownership of your text.

So that Quipo can function, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and revocable licence to host, store, reproduce, technically adapt (generating a preview or a share card, for instance) and display what you published, within the service and in promoting it.

The licence ends when you delete the content, with two honest caveats: backup copies take up to 30 days to disappear, and what other people already saved or highlighted may remain in their library.

Content rules

Do not publish on Quipo:

  • Content you have no right to publish, including other people’s text without permission.
  • Material that is illegal, incites violence, or exploits children.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting of people and groups.
  • Spam, manipulation of reading metrics, or automation to inflate audience and earnings.
  • Misinformation presented as verified fact on matters of health or safety.
  • Machine-generated content presented as your own writing without saying so.

Reading measurement and payment

Quipo measures qualified reading: active time, scroll depth, and a plausible reading pace. It exists to tell someone who read from someone who scrolled, and it is the basis of any future distribution to writers.

Payments to authors are not yet in operation. When they are, we will publish specific terms beforehand, and using them will be optional.

Attempting to manipulate that measurement is grounds for suspension and forfeiture of amounts calculated.

Suspension and termination

You may close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that creates legal risk for the service or for other people, or where the law requires it. Wherever it is reasonable, we tell you first and explain why.

The service is provided as is

We make a serious effort to keep Quipo running and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we do not vouch for the accuracy of what other people publish.

To the fullest extent the applicable law permits, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages. Nothing here removes rights that Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code grants you and that cannot be waived.

Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. Material changes are announced with reasonable notice in the product or by email. Continuing to use the service after they take effect means accepting the new version.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the user’s domicile are competent, as the Consumer Protection Code provides.

Language

These documents are published in several languages for convenience. The Portuguese version prevails if translations disagree.
